The LC error means leak sensor in base pan triggered — water detected in the base of the unit.
The Samsung dishwasher displays the LC error and halts the current cycle until the underlying problem is fixed.
Check these in order. The first cause accounts for the majority of LC errors.
If the drain is blocked, water backs up into the tub, overflows the sump, and drips into the base pan triggering the leak sensor. Clean the drain filter first.
A torn door gasket or loose hose fitting (drain or supply) allows water to drip directly into the base pan during operation.
Someone cleaning around the dishwasher may have spilled water under the unit, wetting the leak sensor without an actual internal leak. Tilt and dry the base pan.
In rare cases the sensor float or switch sticks in the triggered position after the water has dried. Accessing and freeing the float resolves this.
Follow these in order. Stop as soon as the error clears.
Cut power when a leak error appears — water near electrical components is a safety hazard.
With the dishwasher unplugged, carefully tilt it forward ~45° for 30 seconds to drain water from the base pan through the front. Place towels down first.
Look for active drips from hoses, the pump housing, or the door seal area.
Run your finger around the full door gasket. Cracks or loose sections allow water to escape during a cycle.
Check the supply hose connection at the inlet valve and the drain hose at the pump and garbage disposal/drain. Tighten any loose connections.
Remove and rinse the drain filter inside the tub. Run a short cycle and watch for the source of any leak.
